Static image production is done. Finally. My hope to “finish up over the weekend” from my last report was ultimately orders-of-magnitude overly optimistic. I vastly underestimated the number of background images yet to produce, forgetting about a lot of duplicates that were required because of varying story threads that all interweave during the Epilogue.

So here’s where we’re at. I’m currently sitting at 790 finished production renders, and have just waded into animations which will account for roughly 200 more. There are also a few more static renders I need to make based on the animations, which I won’t be able to finish until the animations are done. I’m jealous of my peers using 2D renderers like Honey Select or Koikatsu which can produce a render in seconds, instead of the hours it sometimes takes me doing full photo-realistic, ray-traced renders in DAZ Studio. And that doesn’t take into account the post-production work which can also take substantial time. It’s driven me to rethink rendering techniques for University Trans-fer and experimenting with Filatoon (anime) shaders. Especially for animations; if I can produce a 30-second animation in an hour instead of a day and a half, I might attempt more of them.

Still, animations are all about Set-It-Up-Kick-It-Off-And-Wait. And half of the time, -And-Redo because it didn’t come out right. I estimate (🤣🤣🤣) three+ weeks to finish them, and then testing begins. By next report on Apr 4th, I should be able to publish a release schedule.

No real work on Steam/GOG stuff this fortnight–I was just working night and day on cranking out the last renders.

As a personal aside: it’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I finally got to visualize the images for the ending of this story. A story that was written over four years ago, and has taken almost three full-time years to realize. It’s truly the end of an era.

April’s lewd render will feature Suzie in all of her MILFy glory, and will be available on April 1st. If there is a May render, it’ll be of Elliott. (I say “if” because it may be in the center of the release process for the finale…)
