Bi-weekly status #51 (20240621)
Snax here. So, I’ve got some news. An announcement of sorts.
I’ll be personally writing all of these status updates from now on. I’ve been dreading having to write this. BB and Turkish have been helping me out in their spare time for going on two years now. They’ve both decided to move on to other opportunities, and I wish them nothing but the greatest success. They’ll still get a (slightly lower) share of whatever proceeds this project generates. I am grateful for their past help: BB for paying attention to our Discord and social media accounts, and Turkish for tutelage in all things Python. And for keeping our git servers working. (No small task!)
These status updates had particularly been BB’s responsibility. All I used to do for each update was proofread the text and select the WIP images that would be included. Not having to deal with this stuff allowed me more time to work on the story itself. Sadly, that’s all me now.
My current plan is to finish the story with Chapter 10/Epilogue as quickly as possible, but I’ll be on my own so it might take a while longer. I’ll then work on polishing the whole package for eventual sale on Steam and GOG. I hope then to start getting back some of my funding of this project for what will have been a little over three years by that point.
One casualty of this new arrangement will be a reduction in the number of animations. I may go back before posting to Steam and GOG and add more, all while touching up some images that I’ve never been happy with and replacing some of the earlier animations I was never happy with either.
In any event, for Chapter 9 we finished up scene 11 this week and I am currently well into the final scene 13. (Notice I skipped scene 12 for the time being–it’s a long, hairy one and I’m holding it until the end.) I still have a bunch of catch-up work to do with animations from previous scenes.
This week was the first time since my recent hospitalization that I could stomach putting in a full 40-hour work week, but the pain is still a bit distracting. I find myself losing focus fairly regularly.
Don’t forget: Izzy is our feature 4K render of the month. Her images will be available to upper tier Patreon and SubscribeStar subscribers on July 1st!
A heartfelt welcome to all of the new supporters who have joined us in the past two weeks! Your backing is essential to my work and drives me forward. If you haven’t already, please join me on our Discord and say hi! There, you can find everything from lewd photos, discussions about LGBTQ+ rights, reports on our daily progress, and even programming tips for budding Ren’Py developers.
Good folk, I present to you two images, each a testament to recent tireless endeavours!

Always difficult when people leave. I have always said that this game will have amazing sales on GOG and Steam, but I would hope you don't cut corners, as that will only hurt reviews, and thereby sales. This is an AVN of our times, there are no AVNs I know that are doing that! SO keep up the great work! My support is long-term!
Thanks. For the record, I will not abide by lower quality. I may just skip some more involved animations in order to get the project out in a reasonable amount of time. Some of the images I create take hours to render. Then, they’re denoised, re-exposed, and touched up in Affinity Photo, a process that can take almost as long as the original render. Animations are just a series of renders, and if each one takes hours, then 60fps animations take…well, you can do the math. 😇
Hey, you could have got a great job at McDonald's! :)
