Bi-weekly status


Back from holiday! We had a relaxing, much-needed break from the non-stop development streak we’d been on for over a year.

And, as a result, we’ve had a very productive couple of weeks. We’ve been trying out some new post-processing techniques and are mostly pleased with the results. Most of the time we’ve spent on these new renders have to do with new locations and new characters (or variations on existing characters…) Unfortunately, this is the trend for chapter 6–lots of new locations and clothing assets that will require lots of trial and error test renders.

We had planned on spending some time on our rendering server once we got back. We’ve identified some things that need to be fixed/optimized after shaking it out for a few weeks. But, life got in the way. That, and a 4-day rendering session for a 2-second animation… Sometime in the next two weeks, we’ll take it down and finish the repairs, but for the time being it’s still generations better than what we were using before.

Hear ye, and lay thine eyes upon the typical couple of renders from the last ̶f̶o̶u̶r̶t̶e̶e̶n̶ thirty days. Are ye not entertained?
