We’re now into scene 8 of 10. Of course, the last three scenes are going to be the hardest to realize, for a variety of reasons. There is a definite turning point to the story . . . check that. There are a couple of turning points. The end of the chapter marks the halfway point in Alex’s journey. We can’t wait to share it with you.

This past couple of weeks was spent on fit and finish. By now, you’ve probably noticed that the branding of the VN has been given a facelift (check out our updated banners if you hadn’t already noticed). There are a couple of new features like a jukebox for the soundtrack. It’s a bit rough at the moment, but we’ll clean it up before release. After a bit of encouragement, good ol’ PyTom (creator of Ren’Py) is adding an enhancement to Ren’Py’s dialogue system that will make auto display mode smoother and more natural. You aren’t playing using Auto? We encourage it to help enhance the cinematic nature of the story’s presentation.

Heads down: the next two weeks will be spent hunkering down and cranking out the renders for the remaining three scenes. We’re still hopeful for a mid-February release, but it may be delayed a few weeks to ensure that the appropriate testing is done for all of the program changes and alterations.
